Final Stats

Charleston, W.V. - The Rock women's volleyball posted a 1-3 record in four matches at the University of Charleston tournament Friday and Saturday. They defeated Belmont Abbey, but lost to Mount Olive, Charleston and Lees-McRae.

Game scores for the Rock 3-0 victory over Belmont Abbey were 30-20, 30-27 and 30-27.

The Rock lost to Mount Olive, 3-2. Game scores were 30-27, 30-23, 30-20, 30-23 and 15-12. The Rock won games two and four.

The Rock scored 23, 23 and 26 points in its 3-0 loss to Charleston and 20, 22 and 25 points in its 3-0 loss to Lees-McRae.

In the four games, Sara Kirsch compiled 23 kills, four aces, and 119 assists and Layna Heilman-Houser had 37 kills, 63 digs, four aces and seven blocks to lead the Rock.

Stephanie Skiles had nine aces and 34 digs.

Megan Smith had 21 kills and 26 blocks.

Gwen Oberlin compiled 41 digs and six aces.

The Rock will take open its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference schedule Tuesday night at Edinboro at 7:00 p.m.
