Slippery Rock, Pa. - The Rock improved its record to 5-0 in 2004, defeating University of District of Columbia 1-0 at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Ed Mocarsky, recently named PSAC "Player of the Week", scored his sixth goal of the season in the 81st minute to seal the Rock victory. The goal was assisted by Dave Keller.

The Rock had several chances to score and outshot District of Columbia by a 19-8 margin.

Last season versus District of Columbia, The Rock was handed a 10-0 defeat.

The Rock will take on Mercyhurst College Wednesday night, Sept. 15 at 7:00 p.m. at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.
