Final Stats

Lakewood, Colo. - Louise Schultz recorded 20 kills and Layna Heilman-Houser added 19 to lead The Rock to a pair of wins on the opening day of the Colorado Christian University tournament. The Rock beat Southwest Baptist 3-0 and downed Fort Lewis 3-1. Schultz had nine kills in her first-ever collegiate match vs. Southwest Baptist and had 11 in the win over Fort Lewis. Heilman-Houser had a team-high 12 kills in the win over Southwest Baptist and added seven vs. Fort Lewis. Sara Kirsch had a team-high 15 kills vs. Fort Lewis, while Lindsay Weber had 11 and Megan Smith 10. Kirsch also recorded 31 and 36 assists in the respective games. Heilman-Houser and Weber had 19 digs each vs. Fort Lewis, Gwen Oberlin added 12 and Stephanie Skiles had 11. The Rock takes on Newman College at 3 p.m. on Saturday before meeting the tournament's host team, Colorado Christian, at 7 p.m.
