Senior shortstop Nathan Statzer and senior catcher/DH Joe Pascarella had three hits each to lead The Rock to an 8-6 win over Indianapolis in a battle of perennial NCAA Division II national contenders.
Senior center fielder Matt Kozusko added a pair of hits for The Rock, which improved its record to 5-3.
Junior southpaw Jeremy Becker picked up his first win of the season with a six-inning effort before junior right-hander Nick Armstrong pitched the final inning to pick up his first save of the season.
The Rock returns to action at 4 p.m. Sunday when it will take on Stonehill College. SRU then plays a rubber match against regional rival Alderson-Broaddus at 7 p.m. Both games will be played at Terry Park in Fort Myers.
The Rock and Alderson-Broaddus split a pair of games one week ago, The Rock winning a 12-4 decision on Feb. 28 before A-B chalked up a 5-3 victory the following day.
