Fort Myers, Fla. - Redshirt freshman right-hander Derek Blyzwick scattered six hits Friday afternoon to lead The Rock to a 3-2 win over Saginaw Valley (Mich.) in the opening game of the annual spring-break trip to Florida.

Blyzwick struck out three and walked two en route to picking up his first win of the season.

The Rock improved to 3-2 with the win.

Redshirt freshman southpaw Colin Scott pitched the final one-third of an inning to pick up a save after junior right-hander Nick Armstrong had recorded two outs in the top of the seventh inning.

Senior center fielder Matt Kozusko was 2-for-3 with an RBI and senior catcher/DH Joe Pascarella was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI.
