Rock improves to 10-5 with 6-4 win

Fort Myers, Fla. - Senior third baseman Chase Rowe had two hits, including a double, and senior center fielder Matt Kozusko also had two hits to lead The Rock to a 6-4 win over South Dakota State.

The win improved SRU's season record to 10-5 and upped its spring-trip mark to 8-3.

The Rock takes on Bloomfield College of New Jersey in a noon game on Friday before wrapping up its spring trip with single games against national powers Ashland and UMass-Lowell on Saturday.

Junior southpaw Jeremy Becker was the winning pitcher against South Dakota State. He pitched 4 1/3 innings before giving way to freshman right-hander Josh Rape, who pitched the final two and 2/3 innings to pick up a save.
