Fort Myers, Fla. - Junior right-hander John Katich struck out six and walked two en route to his third pitching win in as many outings this spring and propelled The Rock to a 3-2 win over Southwest Minnesota State.

The win improved SRU's season record to 9-5 and upped its spring-trip mark to 7-3.

The key hit for The Rock offense was a leadoff triple in the bottom of the sixth inning by freshman catcher Brad Wilson, who subsequently scored on a passed ball to account for the winning run.

The Rock beat South Dakota State, 6-4, in its second game of the day on Thursday.
