Davis pours in 38 points, leads Rock past Shippensburg, 86-82

Slippery Rock, Pa. - Junior guard Jajuan Davis pumped in a career-high 38 points Saturday afternoon to lead The Rock to an 86-82 win over Shippensburg in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division action in Morrow Field House.

Junior forward Jason Taylor added 16 points and a team-high eight rebounds, while junior guard Bill Johnson had 15 points.

The win improved The Rock's record to 6-15 overall, 3-4 in PSAC-West action. Shippensburg fell to 8-14, 0-7.

The Rock trailed by 11 points, 30-19, with 3:45 left in the first half but outscored the Red Raiders by a 12-1 margin in the final minutes to earn a 31-31 deadlock at intermission.

The Rock return to action on Wednesday when it will host Edinboro in an 8 p.m. game in Morrow Field House.
