Rock falls to 0-3 with 71-61 loss at East Stroudsburg

East Stroudsburg, Pa. - Bill Johnson scored a team-high 21 points in a losing effort Saturday as The Rock dropped a 71-61 decision in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference "crossover" action at East Stroudsburg to fall to 0-3 on the season.

Jason Bratten added 16 points and Mason Glick had 11 for SRU.

The Rock scored the first 10 points of the game and led by as many as 19 (37-18 with 4:56 left) in the first half, but could not hold off a second-half comeback by the Warriors.

East Stroudsburg scored the final nine points of the first half to close the deficit 10, 37-27, at intermission and then outscored The Rock by a 44-24 margin in the second half to improve its record to 2-3.

The hosts took their first lead (42-41) with 10:49 left in the game and never trailed thereafter. The largest lead of the game for the Warriors was a 15-point, 67-52, margin with 1:19 left to play.

The Rock travels to Mansfield for a PSAC crossover game on Sunday.
