Final Stats

Grove City, Pa. - Layna Heilman-Houser recorded 14 kills and had 11 digs Thursday night to lead The Rock to a 3-0 non-conference win over neighboring Grove City.

Game scores were 30-27, 30-25, 30-28.

The win was The Rock's eighth in its last 12 matches, improved SRU's record to 18-14 and assured The Rock of a second successive winning season.

The Rock has two matches left on its 2004-05 schedule: a 7 p.m. road match next Tuesday at Clarion and a 4 p.m. home match vs. Indiana, Pa., on Nov. 6.

Lindsay Weber and Louise Schultz added 11 kills each, with Weber also recording 17 digs.

Katie Greco had 10 kills, Grove City High School graduate Gwen Oberlin 18 digs and Sara Kirsch 54 assists.
