Rock drops narrow decision at Cheyney

Cheyney, Pa. - The Rock threw a scare into the hosting Wolves of Cheyney University before dropping a 75-69 decision in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference interdivisional action.

The Rock led by three points, 35-32, at halftime and had a five-point, 46-41, lead with 15:44 left in the game. Cheyney regained the lead at 48-46 and never trailed in the final 13 minutes, but never led by more than six points.

Junior guard Bill Johnson scored a team-high 23 points for The Rock, while Jajuan Davis added 17 and Glenn Reepmeyer 12.

The loss dropped The Rock to 3-10 overall.

The Rock returns to action on Jan. 10 with a road game at Mansfield in another PSAC interdivisional game.
