Sophomore forward Glenn Reepmeyer scored 12 points and grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds in a substitute role Wednesday night to lead The Rock to a 76-68 win over Bloomsburg in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference interdivisional game at Morrow Field House.
The win snapped a six-game losing streak for SRU and improved the Green and White's season record to 2-6. Bloomsburg fell to 3-5.
Senior forward Jerome Smalls added 12 points and seven rebounds for SRU, while junior forward Jason Taylor had 12 points and six rebounds and junior guard Jajuan Davis chipped in 11 points. Senior guard Dave Johnson handed out six assists.
The Rock led by six, 28-22, at halftime only to see Bloomsburg take a five-point, 46-41, lead midway through the final half. SRU regained the lead at 49-48 and never trailed in the final seven minutes.
The Rock returns to action Thursday when it will host East Stroudsburg (5-2) in a PSAC "crossover" game at 8 p.m. at Morrow Field House.
