Erie, Pa. - Jason Taylor scored 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in a losing cause as The Rock dropped an 83-74 decision to West Virginia Tech in the consolation game of the Mercyhurst tournament.

Bill Johnson added 17 points and eight rebounds and Shaun Grill handed out nine assists for The Rock, which fell to 1-2 on the year.

SRU led by 10 points, 45-35, at halftime but was outscored by a 48-29 margin in the final 20 minutes.

The Rock will look to snap a two-game losing streak on Tuesday, Nov. 25, when it travels to St. Vincent College for a 7 p.m. non-conference contest.
