Slippery Rock University managed to get only two shots on goal Thursday afternoon and dropped a 1-0 decision to hosting Millersville University in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference women's field hockey action.

Both The Rock and Millersville now own 1-10 overall and 0-8 PSAC records.

The Rock defeated Millersville, 3-1, in the teams' first meeting on Sept. 6 in Slippery Rock.

Rock goalie Tara Bailey recorded three saves.

The Rock returns to action on Saturday when it will host Mansfield in a 4 p.m. game on Bob DiSpirito Field at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium. SRU hosts East Stroudsburg at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Both games are PSAC contests.
