The Slippery Rock University women's field hockey team was shut out by hosting Shippensburg University, 6-0, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

SRU freshman goalie Tara Bailey had 20 saves in the contest.

The loss drops The Rock to 2-13 in the PSAC and 3-15 overall. The Rock will host Kutztown at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.
