Lawrence County Fairgrounds XC Course

Slippery Rock University has called the Lawrence County Fairgrounds its home course for cross country since the fall of 2018. The Rock hosted their first XC meet at the new course Oct. 6, 2018 with the Bill Lennox Invitational. The fairgrounds course includes a mix of open grassy areas and wooded areas with a spectator friendly start and finish area. The course is currently mapped for 1.5-mile, 3,000-meter, 5,000-meter, 6,000-meter and 8,000-meter distances. The first 10,000-meter race and championship meet on the course was scheduled to be the 2020 NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championship, which was canceled due to COVID-19.
