Slippery Rock leadoff hitter Ty Zimmerman continued his career-year last week with four more outstanding performances against UPJ. For the series, Zimmerman hit .571 (8-for-14) with eight runs scored, three RBI, two doubles one triple and one home run to go with a .600 on-base percentage and a 1.071 slugging percentage. Zimmerman, who is currently enjoying an eight-game hitting streak, had at least two hits in three of the four games against UPJ including a 3-for-5, three-run, two-RBI, one-triple effort in Slippery Rock’s 22-4 win in game three.
