Tyler Walters led Slippery Rock to a regular-season ending four-game sweep of Pitt-Johnstown. In four games, Walters went 8-for-17 with eight runs scored, three home runs and eight RBI. The freshman had hits in all four games, including three multi-hit efforts. The highlight of Walters’ week was a 3-for-5, four-run, two-RBI performance in SRU’s 16-3 win against the Mountain Cats on April 24. Walters’ three home runs gave him 12 on the year, the most by a freshman in SRU history.
