Sam Taylor led the way for the SRU women’s track and field team at the Dave Labor Invite with a season-best throw of 48.41 meters to win the javelin. Her throw is just .09 meters off the NCAA automatic qualifying mark and ranks as the fifth best throw recorded by a Division II athlete this year. She also reached the PSAC standard in the long jump Saturday with a fifth place finish and a leap of 5.27 meters.
