Sam Taylor started her 2015 outdoor season by hitting an NCAA Division II provisional mark in the javelin throw at the Coastal Carolina Invitational last weekend. Taylor, who placed fourth in the javelin at last year’s national championships, made a throw of 45.41 meters. The distance was good enough for second at the CCU Invite and is the second highest mark in the event by an NCAA Division II athlete this season.
