Slippery Rock University Athletics

Slippery Rock University freshman pitcher Brooke Dawson started her collegiate career off strong by going 2-0 in the first two appearances of her career last week. In addition to the two victories, Dawson struck out 11 batters over 12 innings, compiled a 1.17 ERA and held opponents to a .159 batting average. Dawson allowed only two hits and one run while striking out seven in her Rock debut against Notre Dame before coming back to go six innings and strikeout four Mercy hitters in SRU’s 4-2 win.
