Middle distance runner Janine Powis recorded an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 2:14.94 in the 800-meter run last weekend to lead the Slippery Rock women’s track and field team at the Kent State Tune-Up. Powis’ time is the second fastest 800-meter mark by a PSAC runner this year and the 42^nd quickest time in the nation.
