The headliner for the Slippery Rock men’s track and field team at the Kent State Tune-Up came in the event that finished last as Caleb Smithco won the triple jump with a big personal best that shattered his own program record. His leap of 15.23 meters vaults him up to the No. 1 spot in the PSAC this season and the fifth best mark in Division II. His previous best of 14.76 meters established a new SRU record back at the beginning of the season. Smithco also reached the PSAC standard in the long jump Saturday with a fourth place finish and a leap of 6.61 meters
