Slippery Rock University senior forward D’Asia Chambers led The Rock to a critical 87-82 victory against Seton Hill last weekend. The win not only kept SRU’s PSAC Tournament hopes alive, but it also gave the program its first 10-win season since 2008-09. Against the Griffins, Chambers produced a great all-around game of 20 points, nine rebounds, four steals and two assists. She also once again showed why she is one of the most efficient shooters in the PSAC by going 8-for-13 from the field, 1-for-1 from three-point range and 3-for-4 from the foul line. With the game tied and just over two minutes left to play, Chambers connected on a jumper that gave Slippery Rock a two-point lead that it would never relinquish in the eventual five-point victory. Chambers also added nine points and seven rebounds earlier in the week in a loss at Edinboro.
