Slippery Rock University Athletics

Breana Northcott broke the school record in the weight throw to lead the Slippery Rock University women's indoor track and field team at the YSU National Invite that took place Friday and Saturday at the Watson and Tressel Training Site at Youngstown State University.
 
Northcott highlighted the meet by breaking the Slippery Rock record in the weight throw Friday night to place second overall in the event. Her throw of 16.76 meters is an NCAA provisional qualifying performance that currently ranks first in the PSAC. It tops the previous SRU record of 16.56 meters set just last year by current teammate Brittany Christiansen.
