Slippery Rock University women’s basketball senior forward D’Asia Chambers averaged 20.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.0 blocks per game in three contests for The Rock last week while shooting 52.3 percent (24-for-46) from the field and 72.2 percent (13-for-18) from the foul line. After a 17-point, 11-rebound, three-block effort in SRU’s loss against Millersville, Chambers came back to score 18 points against Shippensburg the following night to become the 14th 1,000-point scorer in Slippery Rock history. She concluded her week by nearly leading Slippery Rock to an 18-point comeback victory at Kutztown by going for 26 points, nine rebounds and three steals in a two-point loss.
