Butler was named to the All-Tournament team at Gannon's Gary Miller Classic after averaging 18.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. The Rock defeated defending Great Midwest Athletic Conference champion Alderson Broaddus and dropped a 5-point decision to NCAA tournament team LeMoyne. Butler scored a career-high 23 points and shot 8-of-12 against Alderson Broaddus. He added 14 points and seven rebounds against LeMoyne the next night.
