Slippery Rock University women’s basketball senior forward D’Asia Chambers led The Rock to its largest season-opening victory in the last 18 years with a convincing 66-43 victory over Salem International. Despite playing just 24 minutes on the night, Chambers totaled her 15th career double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds in addition to recording five assists, two steals and one block. Chambers, who went 6-for-8 from the field against SIU, finished one rebound shy of matching her career-high.
