Slippery Rock University Athletics

Jared Buck, a redshirt senior from McDonald, Pa., was named the Most Valuable Player of the PSAC Championship game Saturday afternoon after leading The Rock to a 28-26 upset win over previously undefeated and fifth ranked Bloomsburg University.

Buck was the driving force of an offense that took apart the fifth-best defense in the nation in the PSAC title game. The Rock put up 508 yards of total offense and 233 rushing yards, both season highs against the Huskies. Bloomsburg entered the game not allowing more than 13 points in a single game for six straight weeks and Slippery Rock put up 14 points in the first quarter alone.
