Slippery Rock University standout running back Shamar Greene was named the PSAC-West Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season after helping The Rock to a 31-28 win over previously unbeaten Gannon Saturday night.
 
Greene tallied 123 yards of total offense against the league’s top defense and provided the eventual game-winning points late in the third quarter.
 
Gannon entered the game with the top rated total defense, scoring defense and rushing defense in the league, allowing just 58.3 yards per game on the ground and just 10.5 points per game. The redshirt sophomore running back finished with 85 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries and added four catches for 38 yards.
 
The Rock improved to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the PSAC-West, the only unbeaten team remaining in the division.
