Senior outside hitter Kristy Lake paced the offensive attack in a 1-1 week for The Rock. Slippery Rock dropped a 3-0 decision at unbeaten Gannon Friday night, before outlasting Mercyhurst in a five-set thriller Saturday afternoon.
 
Lake posted a monster game in the win over Mercyhurst. She set career-highs with 25 kills (.344 attack percentage) and 21 digs to record her sixth double-double of the season.
 
With the win, Slippery Rock moved to 11-3 overall and into a four-way tie for second place in the PSAC-West standings at 5-1. Lake ranks first on the team with 146 kills (3.17 per set) and second with 141 digs.
