O'Neill posted a shutout over the region's No. 1 ranked team, California (Pa.), in the NCAA Round of 16 by making five saves, leading Slippery Rock to an upset win and into the NCAA quarterfinals for the first time ever. She then recorded a season-high nine saves in a 1-0 loss to the high-powered American International squad in the NCAA Elite 8.
