Travis Wunsch joined the athletic department staff at Slippery Rock in 2016 and was promoted to Athletic Facilities, Equipment and Events Coordinator in June of 2018. He was further promoted to Assistant to the Athletic Director for Athletic Operations in March of 2022.
Wunsch's primary responsibilities at Slippery Rock include overseeing the staff that handles all athletic facility, operations and equipment needs. His team is responsible for setup and tear down of all athletic events and other external and special events that use the University athletic facilities. His crew also oversees parking and event management for home football games, scheduling of all athletic facilities on campus, facility rentals, concession operations and a majority of the uniform and equipment needs for The Rock's athletic teams.
Prior to joining the SRU staff in 2016, Wunsch previously worked as an audio operator and stadium operations assistant for the York Revolution of the Atlantic League from 2007-16. He also served as facility manager at Living Word Community Church from 2013-15 and as the head groundskeeper and athletic facilities manager for Northeastern High School in 2015-16.
Wunsch earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2015 after also completing coursework at Slippery Rock.
