Personal: Daughter of Susan and Troy Ward ... earned four varsity letters as a member of the nationally ranked Slippery Rock University women's soccer team ... joined the track and field team for the 2013 spring semester ... majoring in therapeutic recreation.
2013 (Outdoor): Competed at two meets during the outdoor season in the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 4x1... had one 1st place finish at the Dave Labor Invitational in the 4x1 with a time of 49.23.
Track Career: Ward joined the track and field team just prior to the beginning of the 2013 outdoor season and is expected to add depth in the sprints and become a potential scoring threat in the PSAC.
Soccer Career: Ward was a standout forward for Slippery Rock for the past four seasons, tallying 26 goals and handing out 15 assists for 67 points ... she was an integral piece of the team that claimed the PSAC title in the fall of 2012 and made 42 starts and 46 appearances in the last two seasons, both which ended with the team reaching the NCAA Sweet 16 and finishing with a top-15 national ranking ... she appeared in 85 games and made 60 starts in her four years ... she was named to the All-PSAC team twice and was named to first team All-Region honors by the NSCAA and Daktronics.
High School: Ward earned four letters in soccer and track and field at McGuffey High School ... she was a three-time All-WPIAL selection in soccer and was a four-time state finalist in track and field ... she competed primarily in the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes ... posted a personal best in the 200m of 26.2 seconds ... 400 PR of 60.13 seconds ... also posted a 300-meter hurdle best of 47.4 seconds.
