Biography
Weiss, will return for her senior year at Slippery Rock University. After studying in Europe during the 2005 season, Weiss came back and competed well for The Rock during the 2006 and 2007 outdoor season. The one-time school record holder and conference champion in the pole vault made the switch to long distance running in 2006 and has never looked back. During the 2007 outdoor season Weiss placed fourth at the PSAC Championships and provisionally qualified for the NCAA National Championships, setting a new school record in the 3k steeplechase event. Weiss will serve as a team leader during the 2008 season and look to make a NCAA National appearance in the 3k steeplechase.
High School: Graduated in 2003...Lettered four years in track...Lettered one year in cross-country...2002 WPIAL Champion in pole vault...5th place at PIAA AAA in pole vault...Four year honor roll student...Treasurer of National Honor Society...Secondary Ed./French major and Coaching minor.
