Brady Wert will begin his first year as a volunteer assistant coach at Slippery Rock during the 2012-13 season.
Wert graduated from Slippery Rock in 2011 with his bachelor’s degree in business marketing and was one of the top decathletes in the Atlantic Regoin.
Throughout his career, he was a twot-time National Qualifier, three-time PSAC Champion and six-time All-PSAC honoree.
Wert set the school record in the indoor heptathlon with a score 5,016 points. He recorded his career-best decathlon score to win the PSAC Championship his senior year with 6,785 points.
That score earned Wert USTFCCCA All-Region honors and qualified him for nationals with the third-best score in Division II.
Wert will work primarily with the multi-event athletes.
