Kerri Butler joins the women's soccer coaching staff as a graduate assistant and goalkeeper coach for the 2013 season.
Butler brings an extensive background as an NCAA Division I and professional goalkeeper and as a coach.
Butler played her undergraduate career at West Virginia University, where she posted the fifth-highest number of shutouts in NCAA history. She continued her playing career professionally as the goalkeeper for the Atlanta Beat.Â
Since her graduation from West Virginia, Butler has mentored the Mountaineer women's goalkeepers for two years and also trained goalkeepers with the West Virginia United Soccer Club and at the West Virginia women's soccer summer camp.Â
Butler has also worked with various youth soccer clubs, including training goalkeepers at Pro Performance and at the Soccer Organization of Charlottesville-Albermarle.
In addition to her coaching and playing experience, Butler is also active as an Investigator in the Choose to Change Progect, which fights childhood obesity.Â
