Allison Harbart will begin her second season as the graduate assistant coach for the Slippery Rock University women’s soccer team in 2017.
 
While completing her master’s degree in education, Harbart will assist head coach Jessica Griggs and assistant coach Mark Sappington in all facets of the program.
 
In her first year as an assistant coach, Harbart helped lead Slippery Rock to a 10-8-1 record and a spot in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament. SRU finished the regular season by going 8-3-1 in its last 12 games to earn its PSAC Tournament bid.
 
Harbart joined the coaching profession after a standout playing career for The Rock.
  
Prior to her appointment as an SRU assistant coach Harbart was a four-year starter for The Rock. Her 79 games played rank ninth in program history. Harbart closed out her playing career having accumulated 20 points on eight goals and four assists. The North Royalton, Ohio native connected on three game-winning goals over her career as well.
 
Harbart was recognized on the field as a three-time all-conference honoree. Additionally, she also earned all-region honors a sophomore and senior as well as All-America accolades as a sophomore. Off the field, Harbart was a four-time PSAC Scholar Athlete.
 
During her playing career, Harbart led Slippery Rock to an outstanding 53-22-7 record and four trips to the PSAC Tournament, one league championship and two NCAA Tournament berths.
