Biography

Allyn Blind, a former four-year starting goalkeeper for The Rock, will serve this fall as a graduate assistant coach. She was a student assistant coach a year ago.

Blind will work extensively with the goalkeepers on this year's squad. A first-team NSCAA/Adidas all-region selection in 2001, she will work alongside assistant coach Sergio Gonzalez to impart their knowledge upon this year's young group of goalkeepers.

A Michigan native, Blind received all-state honors at goalkeeper as a senior in high school before coming to The Rock.

Blind has three of the top goals against averages in Rock women's soccer history, including a school-record 0.86 mark in 1999. She also holds the school record for shutouts in a season with nine in both the 2000 and 2001 seasons and shutouts in a career with 26.

Blind has worked at a number of camps including: Army Soccer Camp at West Point (2002-03), SRU Goalkeeper Camp (2000-03); and SRU Soccer Camp (1999). This experience combined with her experience as student assistant coach in 2002 makes her a great asset to The Rock program.

Blind received her undergraduate degree in Sport Management in 2003 and is now pursuing her Master's degree in Sport Management here at The Rock.
