Biography
Jeff Weiss from Avella, PA capped off a stellar sophomore season for The Rock by earning his second track All-America award in the 10000m run at the Outdoor National Championship. Weiss picked up a fourth-place finish, after winning the same event in the 5000m at the PSAC Outdoor Championship. Weiss was voted the PSAC’s Most Valuable Track Athlete and later USTFCCCA Regional Men’s Track Athlete of the Year for his performances this spring. Weiss owns two school records and was voted the most valuable men’s track athlete for the 2007 season by his coaches.
High School: State champion in cross country and 3200 senior year.... Foot Locker finalist in cross country senior year.... Received All-State honors in cross country junior and senior year.... Received All-State honors in track senior year.... Received honorable mention in cross country senior year... Lettered four years in track and cross-country...Lettered two years in basketball...Brother of SRU grads Kelly and Dan Weiss...Physical Education major.
