Joshua Gray returns to the Slippery Rock bench in 2014 as a student assistant coach after finishing his playing career with The Rock in 2013.
Gray, an everyday starter at left back during his two years at SRU, helped The Rock to back-to-back trips to the PSAC title game and a conference championship and No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament in 2013.
He was a two-time first team All-PSAC selection as a defender and added to his postseason honors his senior year when he was named to first team All-Region and second team All-America honors by Daktronics and also earned All-Region honors from the NSCAA.
Prior to joining Slippery Rock in 2012, Gray played two years at Genesee Community College, where he earned All-Region honors and helped the Cougars to the NJCAA National Championship game.
A native of Norwich, England, Gray is currently finishing his degree in physical education at Slippery Rock.
