After a four-year playing career for the Slippery Rock University men’s soccer team, Anthony Werth will return to the role of graduate assistant on head coach Kevin Wilhelm’s staff for the 2020 season.
As a graduate assistant, Werth will assist Wilhelm and assistant coach Steven Rerick in all facets of the program.
Werth embarks on his coaching career after serving as a starter for four years at Slippery Rock from 2016-19. Werth appeared in 68 games over his four-year career while making 60 starts.
In addition to being a talented defender, Werth also recorded 15 points on seven goals and one assist over his playing career.
As a senior captain in 2019, Werth led Slippery Rock to eight wins and a PSAC Tournament berth, the program’s first since 2015.
