Angelo State: Was named to the All-Lone Star Conference (LSC) South Division second team in 2007-08…After his first week of play at Angelo State, was named the Lone Star Conference South Division’s Player of the Week…Led all scorers with 24 points and pulled down five rebounds in win over St. Mary’s and followed that up with 15 points, seven rebounds and three steals in a win over Texas-Permian Basin … For the week, Stephens had 39 points, connecting on 60.7 percent of his shots from the floor and 83 percent of his free throws, with 12 rebounds, two blocks and five steals leading the Rams to their first 3-0 start in eight years…Stephens had a huge game-winning basket off a missed tip-in with 2.4 seconds left to give Angelo State a 77-75 come-from-behind win over Texas A&M Commerce.
