Michael Gibbons returns to the men's basketball coaching staff at Slippery Rock University for the 2011-12 season as a graduate assistant.
Gibbons, who served as the head manager of the SRU team from 2008-10, received his undergraduate degree in sport management from Slippery Rock in 2010.
He spent 2010 and 2011 working for the Professional Golf Association (PGA Tour) before deciding to return to Slippery Rock for graduate school.
Gibbons is a native of McKeesport, Pa., where he was a four-year letter winner in basketball and golf.
Along with his experience as the team manager for the SRU team, Gibbons has also worked at the Jamie Dixon Basketball Camp.
Gibbons will work with multiple facets of the program under head coach Kevin Reynolds and assistant coaches Ian Grady and Bryen Spriggs.
