Slippery Rock University Athletics

A native of Alexandria, Va., he is currently working on a master’s degree in physical education at SRU.

 Murphy is a graduate of Waynesburg (Pa.) University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He played basketball at Waynesburg and also for one season as a member of the Philadelphia Power of the Eastern Basketball Association before arriving at Slippery Rock.

Murphy also served one season as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Bethlehem Center High School, in Fredericktown, Pa., and has worked several camps, including two years at the prestigious Five Star Basketball Camp. 

    
Murphy is single and resides in Grove City, Pa.
