Rock coaches granted his wish and allowed him to move from defensive cornerback to running back prior to Spring 2003 workouts ... Athleticism will aid in his transition ... Position change leaves void in secondary ... Had 25 solo and 12 assisted tackles a year ago ... Saw considerable playing time as a backup cornerback in 2001 ... Returned four punts for 40 yards and one kickoff (one yard) in 2001 ... Made 11 solo and 10 assisted tackles on defense in 2001 ... Also broke up five passes, the second highest total on the team, and recovered one fumble in 2001 ... Sat out 2000 season after sustaining oral trauma during preseason workouts that required surgery.
