Expected to again be a leader on the defensive line ... Moved from tackle to end in spring of 2002 and had solid fall season ... Finished season with 13 solo and 24 assisted tackles, four tackles for loss and three quarterback sacks ... Should be an all-conference selection this fall ... Has great work ethic and attitude ... Has great size and athleticism for a defensive end ... Commitment to the weight room makes him a challenge for opposing offensive linemen to contain ... A Rock-solid candidate for Academic All-America honors ... Earned first-team Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars honor from Black Issues in Higher Education magazine in 2001-02 ... A candidate for AFCA "Good Works Team" honor ... Maintains 3.7 grade point average as a physical education major/sports management minor ... Served as Student Government Association's Vice President for Academic Affairs in 2000-01 ... Was also External Vice President for SRU's Student Athlete Mentors and represented football team on SRU Student Athlete Advisory Council in 2001-02 ... Works with SRU Minority Affairs and Orientation staffs as a volunteer guide/host for potential students ... Volunteers at Sankey Center (boys and girls club) and with Special Olympics ... Had 11 solo and 20 assisted tackles as a sophomore ... Also had one quarterback sack and one fumble recovery last fall ...
