Sean Holliday was named the pitching coach of the Slippery Rock University baseball team prior to the 2019 season following a three-year playing career at the Rock. He graduated from SRU in 2011 with a degree in sport management.

In his three years at SRU, Holliday saw time as both a starter and reliver, compiling 26 wins to go along with 58 career strikeouts. Prior to his playing career at Slippery Rock, Holliday attended Division l Marshall University.

His best season came in 2007 when Holliday compiled a 4-2 record with a 2.36 ERA in 26.2 innings of work, holding hitters to a .224 batting average against.

Holliday also appeared in the Prospect League as a member of the Butler Blue Sox in 2009 where he compiled a 1-3 record with a 4.56 ERA. Also appeared in the Cal Ripken Jr. League in Baltimore in 2008.

Prior to returning to Slippery Rock, Holliday also saw time as a pitching coach for North Allegheny High School from 2016 – 2018.
