Kyle Schneider begins his first season as a graduate assistant coach on head coach Jeff Messer's staff in 2016.
Schneider will assist Messer and the rest of the SRU coaching staff with all facets of the program.
A four-year standout pitcher at Slippery Rock, Schneider graduated from SRU with a career record of 17-13, a 4.03 ERA, 13 complete games, four shutouts and 166 strikeouts in 225.1 innings pitched.
He ranked second in Rock history in innings pitched (225.1), second in shutouts (four), fifth in fewest walks allowed per nine innings (1.96), fifth in games started (33), sixth in strikeouts (166), seventh in complete games (13), eighth in wins (17) and 10th in appearances (43).
Schneider graduated from Slippery Rock in 2015 with a degree in mathematics.
