ROCK FOOTBALL RELENTLESS PROSPECT CAMP #1

For: All players entering grades 9-12 in fall 2023
Description: Showcase your abilities and get evaluated by the Slippery Rock coaching staff! You will learn how to play your position with technique and fundamentals while competing against some of the top talent in the area. Event will consist of athletic testing, agility stations, position specific drills and one-on-ones. This is an unpadded camp, only cleats are required! Registration in advance preferred, but walk-ups will be welcomed.

SRU CO-ED VOLLEYBALL CAMP

Times: Friday: 3-9 p.m. Saturday: 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday: 7 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.
Location: Aebersold Student Recreation Center
For: Adults age 21 and up
Description: The camp offers a solid program that combines individual and team skill development, while providing campers with the opportunities to train at their own level. The enrollment for the camp is limited to 80 athletes in order to provide a positive, quality experience for each camper.
Cost: Resident: $250 (Includes instruction, all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), lodging, and a camp t-shirt).
Commuter: $225Â (Includes, instruction, lunch and dinner only, and a camp shirt).

TRACK & FIELD JUMPERS WEEKEND

For: Athletes entering grades 9-12 in fall 2023
Description: The SRU Jumps Camp will provide a high quality, in-depth coverage of the high jump, long jump and triple jump. Campers will be able to choose which jump they want to specialize in or can gain a wide breadth of knowledge for all jumps. Jumps Camp will include seven instructional sessions and one video/lecture session touching on jumping technique and other topics directly related to the jumping events. Additionally, athletes will gain knowledge of how to properly train for the jumping events through weightlifting, plyometrics and speed and power development.
Cost: $375 for overnight campers, $300 for commuters

TRACK & FIELD SPRINTERS AND HURDLERS WEEKEND

Description: SRU's Sprint & Hurdle Camp is a three-day intensive camp that will cover advanced sprinting and hurdling techniques. Sprinters will work on warm-up drills, sprint drills, sprint technique, starts and relays. Hurdlers will work on warm-up drills, hurdle drills, starts, high hurdle techniques and intermediate hurdle techniques. Sprinters and hurdlers will also go through sessions in weightlifting, plyometrics, aquatic workouts and other topics directly related to sprinting and hurdling.
Cost: $375 for overnight campers, $300 for commuters

TRACK & FIELD THROWERS WEEKEND

For: Athletes entering grades 9-12 in fall 2023
Description: The SRU Throwers Camp will provide a high quality, in-depth coverage of the discus, shot put and javelin, as well as a brief introduction to the hammer. Throws Camp will cover warm-up drills, throwing drills and technique progressions in all three events. Additionally, the camp will review proper training for all throwing events. Sessions will include weight lifting, plyometrics, medicine ball workouts and other topics directly related to throwing. Campers will be coached by a pair of SRU Hall of Famers in Judy and Jim Geist and will also receive instruction from the throws coach of the 2021 U.S. Olympic Team from the Tokyo Games, SRU alumnus Gary Aldrich. Â

Description: The SRU Vaulters Camp will provide a high quality, in-depth coverage of the pole vault for the first 20 boys and 20 girls that apply. Vaulters Camp will cover warm-up drills, training and technique for the pole vault. The camp will be hosted by a coaching staff that has produced multiple national champions at the NCAA Division II and Division III level, including the owners of The Vault Shack in Volant, PA and Vault Athletics in North Huntingdon, PA.
Cost: $425 for overnight campers, $350 for commuters

SRU GIRL’S TEAM VOLLEYBALL CAMP

Location: Aebersold Student Recreation Center and Morrow Field House
For: A team is defined as a minimum of seven players (preferably eight to 10) from the same school or club who can play all required positions. It is recommended that no more than 12 players comprise a team. Each team must be accompanied by a coach.
Description: The team camp will provide attendees with instruction from top area high school and college coaches. The SRU volleyball coaching staff is committed to training athletes by providing each player with the opportunity to learn and enhance the fundamental skills of volleyball. We teach the game by providing quality instruction in conjunction with competitive opportunities. The objective of the camp, in addition to skill development, is to emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork and fun.

SRU VOLLEYBALL GIRL’S SKILLS CAMP

Description: Under the direction of Laurie Lokash, Slippery Rock University women’s head volleyball coach, the Girl’s Individual Volleyball Camp will provide attendees with instruction from top area high school and college coaches and college players. The camp offers a solid
program that combines instruction on individual and team skills while providing attendees with an opportunity to train at their own level.

Description:Â Prospect camp is geared towards prospective student-athletes who are interested in Rock softball and want to improve their skills. The camp includes hitting, pitching, catching and infield/outfield drills.Â
Cost:Â $75 for the hitting clinic, $65 for pitching and $35 each for catching, infield and outfield clinics per day.Â

SRU WOMEN'S SOCCER SUMMER ID CLINIC

Description: The clinic is designed to totally immerse high school students from ninth grade and up in the competitive environment of women's collegiate soccer.
